Lakes: Choke Canyon: This lake is the hidden jewel of South Texas. It boasts some of the biggest bass per acre of any lake in the nation. If your wanting to catch a trophy, this is one you want to visit. During a tournament in 2007, Charlie and partner caught an amazing 5 fish limit that weighed 45 pounds. The catfish are also abundant on this resevior and are great fun to catch! Canyon Lake: Located on the Guadalupe river, this deep canyon lake is one of the most beautiful in state. Bass, Striped Bass, Crappie and Catfish are all oportunistic feeders. If your looking for a relaxing, fun fishing vacation, then Canyon Lake is the place to be. Lake Travis: Absolutely gorgeous, this lake gives up high numbers of bass, crappie and white bass. During the winter months, the white bass fishing can be non stop. Black bass are also abundant and caught year round. This is one of the most fun, beautiful lakes in the state and there are countless attractions to visit after the fishing is done. |
